The medication disrupts the transmission of signals from the nerve to the muscle causing the muscle to become more relaxed. This results in the overlying skin appearing smoother. The treatment only takes approximately 10 minutes and is relatively painless.
The most common areas to be treated with anti-wrinkle injections are the frown, forehead, around the eyes (crows feet), gummy smile, lip flip, brow lift, chin and around the mouth. The results last approximately 3-5 months depending on the person.
